Elections Observatory is a web platform aiming to inform, to raise public awareness on electoral issues and democracy and finally to reinforce citizenship in Europe.

The main objective of the program is to highlight the citizens’ concerns and reflections on the top of the public discussion. Also to present the common – European –challenges, thereby providing a spherical approach with useful information and analysis on political tendencies, polls, interviews, results, on line voting, and relevant news updates.

Greek, as well as international academics and analysts, together with the Institute’s research team, are presenting an in-depth analysis of forthcoming elections, in the horizon of the 2014 European elections.In this framework, special reports have been published on recent elections, like these in Cyprus, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, and Austria, on the side of the ongoing report of the 2014 EU elections. These reports include a detail presentation of the political system and the parties of each country, the candidates and the key issues in the political agenda, the main political challenges, as well as their potential impact upon the future of Europe. aspires to be a source of credible information not only for journalists and analysts etc. but a reference point for those who are closely following international politics and – most importantly – for all those willing to be active citizens.
